CRCP Exam

Hello
I took the first crystal reports exam today and failed. I got 53% and the passing score was 65% so was a far way out. I found that alot of the questions are not in the training manuals and arnt covered on the training courses I have been on does anyone know of any good resources to help me passing the exam. I have ordered the CRCP guide book that is recommended in this forum so hopefully that will help.

Did you not get the online learning when you registered for the CRCP or did you just take the exams?

There are a few bits which arn't covered in the training manual or courses but the majority of it is.

The second exam barring a few questions again was all in the training manual.

I personally haven't read the book which people recommend but as its been recommended by a lot of people that should definately point you in the right direction.

Also note that a lot of the quetions are easier if you've got a lot of experience using Crystal.

I have taken Exam 1 and 2, and eventually passed both. I'll tell you that my experience was that both exams are similar. the best resource i found was the Help in Crystal. One thing that i did was to think of every question that i got wrong in Exam 1 and write it down. Then i went to the Help and looked up the right answer and wrote it down. I then studied those and other questions i could recall. BTW, i also failed Exam 1 miserably. Exam 2 will be similar in nature, so take the style of Exam, transalte it what you think will be on exam 2. go through the learning material and pick out what you think would be make a test question and study. That is how i passed exam 2 on the first try. It was not easy.

I was in a Training class for Crystal. of the 10 total tests taken by the 5 students, on 2 exams were passed.

Hi i took the first CR exam (RDCR201)10 days back and cleared it by 82%. I am taking the second one on 26th. Can u give me some tips as to what kind of questions can i expect and what topics to concentrate on. may be some sample questions that u remember.Are there questions from the first exam?

I took the exams back in February, so i can't recal any specific questions. I can tell you to expect a very similar styl exam, same types of questions and answer selections. Expect Variables and arrays, loops and other complex formula questions. Study sytax, that is asked often, just like the first one. Also, brush up on Enterprise a bit. There are a few about that.

hi yesterday i took the second CRCP(RDCR301) exam and cleared it. As said the pattern was same as the first exam. Anyone who is planning to take this certification exam ,the key is to go through annette harpers All in one guide.It helped me a lot.Both the exams concentrated more on the UI of CR and menu items and formatting options.

Congrats and nicely done! These exams are not easy to pass, you should be proud of your accomplishment.
