I know this is a easy question, but I want to upgrade Netscape 4.76 to 4.79, but when I load it, 4.76 is still coming up..Do I need to remove the old package. How can get the Solaris 8 to see the new netscape without giving me an error. Do I do apache the same way? So for the dumb question

You have an icon on your desktop that starts Netscape - it's pointing at the old version. Change it to go to the new.

Netscape is installed under /usr/dt/appconfig I believe. You can uninstall it by removing this package:

pkgrm NSCPcom

Then add your new package if you want. You could also move /usr/dt/appconfig/netscape to something else and link that executable to your new Netscape.
