My Visio crashes just after finishing the cache load and starting to display the Visio main window.
It may be a related item that I can't attach a database in my Visual Studio.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect; 'unexpected error'. Well, duh! As informative as usual from Bill.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Visio 2003 for Enterprise; rebooted, tried it - same thing. Installed SP2 - rebooted - tried it - same thing.
I read somewhere about VBA, so I installed my VBA 6.3 from my TechNet disc. No joy (although on another machine, that fixed the problem of being able to ODBC into my SQL server on that machine.
Windows XP Pro - all current updates.
I shut down all software running in the background that I didn't need.
I've been debugging Bill's stuff for him (not paid, of course, just as a developer trying to use his s***) since 1985, and in all of that time, MS had NEVER, not once, ever responded to a trouble report with anything that EVER fixed the problem I was writing in about. Not once, not ever.
The only place I ever find help is on forums like this.
So, please take pity on an ancient programmer, and HELP!
Thanks.
