our epo server had some problems (system problems) and i managed to install epo on another server but it doesn't recognize the clients which has the old agent version (which try to connect to the old server) .i have managed to generate a new installation package and installed it on the clients but it doesn't work on some of them can anyone help me??

Does the server have the same name, IP address, agent communication port #? I'm not sure but I don't think you need the same IP address, but the agents won't communicate without the correct port# in EPO

Doh!!

When you say doesn't recognize the clients? Does that mean they don't show up in the directory at or or that there's no information under properties in ePO?

your new server must have the same name than the old ePo Server, and also the same IP.

If you have an offline backup of your database, try to restore it.

The ePO server need not have the same IP address. All clients connect to the ePO server using the host name 'ePO_<servername>'. You can add a static DNS entry pointing to the new server with the old name.

i mean they don't show up in the directory
