I use Corel 8 for merge correspondence, since I am sincerely tired of the shennanigans with 10's address book. It usually works well, but once again I have a Mapi32 problem. This time the address book won't open, which is not a problem (move address databases, reinstall address book, replace addresses and voila). But does anyone know if there is an upgraded and more functional version of Mapi32? I keep an extra copy hidden somewhere on disk in case the one used gets corrupted, but there must be something better by now. (Working in W2k).

Further development:
First did a fix with startup cd. Address book quit showing the mapi error, but began to start up and then froze. Un-reinstall program: Address book freezes on opening from any source (within word perfect, from icon, whatever). Knowing previous mapi problems, I suspect it is still a corrupt file and will bring a copy from another computer on Monday, but if not, I could really use the merge data. Does anyone have an idea of what could be going on?
