Is a cracked monitor case dangerous? The frame just surrounding the screen is cracked in two places. Many thanks.

Not necessarily dangerous, but potentially a bit hazardous. The casing provides a little shielding for magnetic interference. Also, you'll have less protection in case of an accidental splash of liquid in its direction!
