CR9 Interbase 6 - A FAST connection ?

Can anyone enlighten me on a fast way to connect Crystal 9 to Interbase ? I've currently got my reports working via ODBC but they drag like hell.

I really need to speed them up or face the wrath of the usual managers who know nothing but expect everything !!

Since there is no Crystal 'native' driver for Interbase, you will have to use ODBC or OLE DB. Does Interbase supply an OLE DB driver?

I would also recommend checking your queries outside of Crystal Reports. Cut the query text out of the Show SQL dialog and paste it into the Interbase Interactive SQL tool and compare run times. If the result set is large, make sure that you've fetched the entire set for comparison. If the query runs slowly here then the query itself is the problem, not the ODBC driver.
