Using Crystal Reports Professional Version 9.2

Tried to delete the formula @balance, yet Crystal shows the following message.
"The field @balance is being used in the report. Deleting it will remove it from the report canvas."
So, I then in Design mode deleted all formulas, groups, selection and sort criteria etc to show it as a blank report yet Crystal still gives the above message.
Is this a know bug in Crystal? If so has it been fixed in the latest release of Crystal
Is there a way to search the report canvas to go to where this formula is being used in the report canvas?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Export the report, and for export format choose report definition. This creates a .txt file that documents your report including formulas. Search the text file for the formula in question.

You could also try to change the formula so that the formula result is of a different datatype. This should cause an error message to pop up wherever the formula is being used.
