CR8_Dev Installation failure

Crystal Reports 8 Developer edition falls
with the following message:

"Seagate Crystal Reports Developer Edition installation ended prematurely because of an error"

Any ideas about the cause of this action?

Message occurs AFTER licence key had been entered and all paths, installation types and so on had been specified.

The good news is that you have 60 days of support from Crystal Decisions. Call their number and enter your license code. The wait time should not be long.

They are very good at fixing installation errors.

Usually it is because

1) you had another application open
2) You had a previous version of Crystal and there was
a DLL conflict.

Several users have reported major errors when trying to UPGRADE Crystal versions or editions.
