CR8 Null Parameters

I'm having trouble passing in NULL parameter values from a VB6 form to the CR Report Object. It accepts them when the report is initially run and correctly displays the report, however, when you go to print the report and you click OK on the dialog box that has the printer name, number of pages, etc, it prompts you for the parameters with the CR prompt. Anyone experience this before and / or find a "legitimate" workaround? Thanks!
