CR8 DLL in Info 7

We're using CR8.5 and Info 7.
Yes, I know we need to upgrade. That's in the works. However, in the meantime, can we use the CR8.5 (or CR8.0) Excel export DLL in Info 7??????

For our reports there is a lot of difference between the two versions of exporting. Cr8.5 looks great, Info 7 is just OK.
