Hi,
I have Crystal Reports 8.5 and am using SQL tables for my data.

I am trying to create a packing slip that shows each item, the carton it is packed in, the quantity ordered and the quantity packed in the carton. The problem is, the report shows the quantity ordered for each carton the item is in like this:

item carton qtyord qtypacked
112 1 2 1
112 2 2 1
222 3 1 1

I would like to suppress the qtyord when the item is the same as the previous one. I tried check marking 'Suppress if Duplicated' but it suppresses even if the item isn't the same.

Any ideas?

Right click the qty field and selevt fomat. Then click the X-2 butoon to the right of the suppress checkbox and enter a formula:

Not OnFirstRecord
if previous({Item})={item} then true
