I am fairly new to crystal reports(CR6) and this problem show its head continuously. One fix that works some times is to create an additional formula field (to base the graph on) which divides the summary field (which i want in the graph) by the number of records in the group. This problem relates to detail graphs. In the discussion group I have seen it mentioned that CR6 doesnt use the implied sum of the details your are summarising and want in the graph. Is there a way (with as little reconstruction of the report as poss.) to get CR6 to chart the data as it is displayed in the footer.
My report contains data grouped by hours. In the group footer there are several summary fields. I have added a percentage formula field for each summary in the group. if i do a detail graph on the % fields I am faced with the abovementioned problem. I cant seem to use my poor fix of dividing by a count of the No. of records either. I also find that I cant do a group graph on these percentage fields individually either (this formula does contain an if..then stmt).
Is there something fundamental that I am missing in the use of CR graphs here.
My thanks goes to the person(s) who can take time to explain how to avoid these problems.
