I'm using XP along with Timberline Accounting software and CR. Clients are migrating from CR10 to CR11, with text exports that previously worked fine(CR10) becoming problematic(CR11).
It seems that using CR11 along with the typical "stealth" subreports will preview properly.
Any/all subsequent exports to a text file will include a blank line for each occurence of the "stealth" subreport that had been "invisible" in the preview.
Essentially, the "stealth" subreport is being used to obtain some information that is not directly accessable in the container. This information is used to conditionally suppress the associated detail line(s) that comprise the text file.
If many of the details are conditionally suppressed, the resulting text file may contain more blank lines than data lines.
Has anybody seen this behavior? Any ideas on avoiding the problem? I saw another similar problem that was solved by Ido Millet's software, I am hoping for a solution that won't require my clients to purchase additional software.
I fear this is the beginning of a large "iceberg" as I have these export reports at many clients that will encounter the problem when they upgrade to CR11.
TIA for any assistance / ideas ...
