Hi,

I try to use TWICE a table (I'll call it 'T').

I mean that I have a table 'A' referencing 'T'
and table 'B' referencing 'T' too.

'A' and 'B' are not linked.

Using Database Expert, I can put twice 'T' : second time, an alias is proposed ('T_1').

But If I insert 2 db fields 'T'.'T_NAME' and 'T_1'.'T_NAME' on the report, an unknown error occurs during preview...

Any idea ? Turnaround ?
Thanks.

I use Crystal 8.5, but I'd think it was asking for trouble to use two unlinked data structures in Crystal. If they are both connected to T, why not make T the basic and attach the other two to it.

Failing that, drop down one connection to a subreport. Subreports make a lot of work for computers, but save time for humans. You decide which is more important for your particular circumstances.

[li]Crystal Version (different version may require different solutions[/li]

[li]Sample data (need to know what we are dealing with)[/li]
[li]Expected Output (what you are trying to accomplish)[/li][/ul]

I'm a little confused about your links. Based on your post, it seems to me that table 'T' is common between the both of them and questioning why you need an alias

T.value1 -> inner joined -> A.valuea
T.value2 -> inner joined -> B.valueb

Can you please clarify?

That's why sample data and expected output are the keys to solving your problem

I can understand Crystal's error, you're using 2 unlinked data soruces, which it doesn't support.

A better idea when posting here is to supply what Wichitakid suggests, and request assistance with design, rather than stating how you want to do it.
