CR10 - ufmanager.dll not found 1

Hi,

I am working with CR10 mdeveloping environment.
After installing and deinstalling an VB6 application that uses acces to CR, now I always fail to open reports within CR developing environment receiving the error message: 'ufmanager.dll' not found .

But ufmanager.dll is actually at hand in the directory C:\Programme\...\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin .

Any idea what could be wrong or missing?

Hi Betty,

yes I was able to figure it out:

Obviously by installing and deinstalling the VB6 application
some registry entries for Crystal Reports 10 were deleted.
So after making the registry entry for the directory path of ufmanager.dll everything was fine again.

Open the registry with "regedit".
The look for directory

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\
Crystal Decisions\
10.0\
Crystal Reports

Here you make the entry for "CommonFiles".
The vale to be set here is the directory path of the ufmanager.dll file.
For example with me it is:
C:\Programs\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin

I hope this fixes you problem too.
