I'm new to this forum. When creating reports in Crystal Reports 10, I have to LOGON to Interbase (our database for Quantum ERP) in order to fetch the data. When I am idle for X minutes or walk away for a while, it automatically logs me off (10 minutes???). This is really annoying and I would like to increase the auto logoff time, so I don't have to keep logging back in after phone calls, etc. But I cannot find the setting anywhere in CR, nor in these Forums. Can anyone help?

If you're in Crystal Reports itself, then it's your database that's logging you off, contact your dba about this, it's common to set a auto log off after X minutes of being idle so that people don't leave connections open.

Synapsevampire, thanks for the response. But when I'm in our ERP application, hooked into the Interbase DB, it never logs me off during hours of idle time with that program. Just CR logsoff the DB. I don't have a DBA to ask, so gimme your best shot as to where I might look to change it when using CR. THANKS!

Crystal doesn't log you off, there's nothing there to check.

The application itself may have a stay alive whenever you're logged in, that's fairly common as well, so that it occasionally sends something to the database saying I'm here.
