This is the first time I've used Crystal reports.

I'm using Crystal Reports for ESRI v 11

My problem is with a cross-tab report. The general format of the crosstab is Headings across the top, and row headings down the side, with a blank space above the row headings and to the left of the column headings.

I've added some text boxes to this space as a descriptor of the headings. it's the standard format we use on all our crosstab reports (which are usually done inefficiently in Excel!).

The data splits across several pages, which is great, but I can't get the text boxes to appear in the same place on every page.

Does that make sense?

Any help you can give would be greatly received.

Thank you in advance.

So you've formatted the boxes to "repeat on horizontal pages", right? I don't think you'll be able to get a consistent result using text boxes, so I would suggest creating labels within the crosstab (what I do). Create a formula:

whilereadingrecords;
"My Row Label"

Add this to the crosstab as the #1 row field (or #1 column field). Go to the customize style tab and select the formula->suppress subtotals. For row labels, I usually also center and then rotate the label 90 degrees and then drag the boundaries to make it narrow, in order to conserve space.
