CR XI - EXPORT TO ODBC

Just curiuos, I don't get a folder option when I export to ODBC. Is there anyway to choose where the export ODBC file is going to be place?????

Ummm, ODBC means Open Database Connectivity, and will depend on the type of database that you're exporting to.

synap: I'm not meaning to be funny or anything, ...so are you meaning that some DB's do give you an option on where to place the ODBC table export and some don't? We are using SQL Server 2000. When I go to export the ODBC all it does is let me set the option but does not ask me WHERE to place the table. It automatically places it in a DB that I do not want it to be placed.

Or for that matter, I would just like to know WHERE it is placed.

Crystal gives you a choice of which ODBC DSN would be used for the export target. Create an ODBC DSN for the database where the table should be placed (or make sure that such an ODBC DSN is defined on your PC). Then, select that ODBC DSN in the export dialog.
