CR XI (BOE XI R2) Export to ODBC (odbc name not available)

I have a report where I want to export the data out by odbc to a test database on my local machine. I have set up the odbc to my test database and can read from it with no problem. The issue is that when I select 'export to odbc' from crystal, my test database doesn't appear in the list.

My test database is sql server
My odbc connection is set up as a system DSN (I have also tried User DSN)
I am db owner of the test database.

Can't see where I am going wrong - anyone able to help please?

Haven't seen that behavior before. Perhaps you need to simply close and reopen Crystal.
