I have an ASP application running on IIS 5.0, Windows 2000 Server with web reporting using Crystal Reports 8.5.
One of the client machines is NT 4.0 with IE 5.5. When I try to view one of the crystal reports on this machine, it :-
1. first prompts to install "Crystal Smart Viewer for ActiveX"
2. then install "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
3. then there is an error message :-
"Problems with this Web page might prevent it from
being displayed properly...
Line: 33
Char: 3
Error: ActiveX component can't create object:
'WebReportBroker.WebReportBroker'
Code:0"
I then get the Viewer window but with an "x" in the top-left corner of the window instead of the Crystal Report.
We had a similar problem before and it turned out that machine was not logged on with Administrative rights, but this time the User does have Admin rights on the machine.
Can anyone offer any helpful advice? it'd much appreciated cheers.
