CR standard ed wont work with datasource?

This is new to me, I ve never seen it before...any ideas or insight welcome!

I have a situation where I am trying to login to the datasource and I get the following message:

"Can not connect to this data source. This is the Crystal Reports standard edition. Please upgrade to Crystal Reports Pro in order to connect to it."

Really strange, I didnt think that what edition you got had anything to do with what datasources you could work with...

Please advise!

Unfortunately, Only Crystal Reports Professional allows for ODBC connections to SQL databases. Crystal Reports Standard doesn't.

Standard uses a different ODBC driver than Professional. You need to switch the Standard p2sodbc.dll with the Professional driver of the same name.

Might be time to start thinking about upgrading to CR Pro.
