I have a VERY technology challenged manager who wants to run a few CR(8.5) I have developed, on demand.

The CR we are using came packaged with a DB product. This allows us to develop custom CR output, but we do not have "full" versions of CR. All of the custom reports must be run from the "working" folders of the database. I am NOT inclined to give anything more than READ ONLY permissions to these folders.

What suggestions/options are available for us?

hi
can you just select that folder and in the proprety grant read only there?

cheers

On option on Crystal is to export the report output, as Excel, Word or Acrobat PDF. Would that suit your needs?

PS. Export is the icon of a white envelope with a downward-pointing red arrwo.
