I have this pie chart that i want to show a certain dollar amount for my salesman.

Currecntly the way my report is setup is that i use a running total on my report to report the correct amount of the complete report.

This is how my chart is setup:
I have a on change of {.Salesperson}
and my chart is place at my footer.
Values that i show is my running total amount which in the report is correct but for some reason its not correct when my chart display it.

Any suggestion?

Just put the dollar value field in for the Show Values and make sure it's set to sum, don't use the Running Total.

Why can;t i use the running total? Is there somthing in CR9 that is exclusive? Also when i add the line total to the show values screen and set it to sum i get numbers that dont correspond to what my final report numbers are. Any ideas?

I've no idea what the line total is, is that the dollar amount?.

A chart uses the same methods as conventional totals, so I've no idea what the discrepencies mean.

I suggest posting what you are gettign rather than stating that it isn't correct.

Post any criteria in the Running Totals, and where the chart is within the report.

synapsevampire; i have but only one question how would you setup a chart which I want to show and breakdown of our sales person sales sold. THe report is broken down into sales order number and then i have each sale tagged by a who sold the Sales order.

However when i setup my chart i have the graph set to on change of sale person and i sum each SO amount.

Is this the correct way to set this up?

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I'm trying to do the same thing on a line chart. I am trying to graph monthly unit cost based on the to date units and to date costs. The data on the report uses the running total feature in Crystal. However, these fields are not available when I go to the data tab in the chart expert. I ended up doing a run total by hand. The only way that I could get the run total formula to pull into the chart was if I used While Reading Records in the formula. (I'm not too comfortable with Evaluation Time functions). The curve is close but the points don't match the data that I see on the report. How did you get the running total field into your report in the first place?
