CR 9 and CRW23.exe Error

Can anyone tell me how to stop the crw32.exe error "crw32.exe has encountered an error and must close". At the worst time the error pops up and closes Crystal Report. I've had it happen mostly when it is sitting idle but other times after changing or adding something to the report and before I get a chance to hit Save.
