CR 8.5 in PowerBuilder - RDC? Viewer?

We recently purchased CR 8.5 Developer Edition and have also learned about all of the gotchas in regard to licensing. We were originally going to publish the reports on a web page and show them inside of our PowerBuilder application, until we realized that it would double our licensing costs, due to Crystal Enterprise.

I called Crystal and they told me we should use the RDC component to display reports inside the application, and this would not carry any additional license fees. The cost of unlimited users on a 1 processor server was around 20K. Still alot of cash, but there isn't much alternative.

Has anyone tried this in PowerBuilder 7? I'm still confused if I need to use the RDC component or just the viewer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you're only using the RDC, and only the free runtime bit, then you don't need to buy any licenses.
