I was wondering if anyone had seen this behavior:
Crystal 10 (install on W2k or XP SP2) - no service packs.
After successfully using CR 10 for a period of time (2 - 6 months), client experiences that when refreshing a report that contains parameters the parameter prompt dialog fails to display. Clicking print preview displays the report and placing the parameter fields on the report shows that they are not populated.
Exiting CR 10 and re-opening the report and clicking refresh will prompt you one (1) time for the parameters and correctly populating, but any further prompts fail to generate the parameter prompt dialog box and the last value is held in the parameter.
Opening the report on another machine with CR 10 behaves correctly indicating a CR 10 Application issue rather then a report issue.
I have had two (2) clients so far advise me of this occurance and have observed it personally via Webex on both. Applying Service Packs did not correct the issue, but an uninstall and reinstall of CR 10 did correct the issue.
The only commonality I can find is that CR 8.5 exists on the same workstation.
I have googled and searched the CR KB and can find no references to this issue. I was curious as to the actual causation and a better solution, since it seems the parameter dialog not prompting is a symptom.
