CR 10 - Business View row level security or Performance

Has anyone used Business View (BV) for row level security? What is the performance like with 100K+ rows of data?

In CR 7.5, implementing row level security through the info view dictionary(?) used to have major performance problems and sometimes the application would even die while users were viewing reports.
