CPU2 boot failure

Hi all,

Just installed SCO openserber 5.0.7 on a brand new dual Intel Xeon machine.

I've installed SMP and licensed the additional processor but more often than not, when i boot the machine the second CPU doesn't come up - i get CPU2 boot failure.

This is an intemittent problem - sometimes it comes up and sometimes it doesn't.

Any ideas - is it faulty hardware??

Without the make/model of server and lists of additional patches it could be anything, please add this info.

It's possibly due to Hyperthreading being enabled, if it is turn it off. Make sure all relevant patches are installed.
