There is no INDeX forum, seems these CPU's have died. Time for a new system.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Hi. I just got this from the INDeX tool kit
Checking the CPU
The CPU cassette performs an automatic self-test when power to the Control Cabinet is switched on. The status lamps on the front of the cassette indicate the result of the self-test.
To check the CPU Cassette :
1. Check the status displayed by the CPU cassette lamps:
Green = on
Red = off
Amber = on
CPU okay, automatic self-test passed.

Green = on
Red = Flashing
Amber = off
CPU hardware fault, e.g. over temperature

Green = Flashing
Red = off
Amber = on
CPU S/W upload in pg Offrogress or system shutdown.

Green = off
Red = off
Amber = on
CPU fault or no CPU software present.

Green = off
Red = off
Amber = off
Power failure or CPU fault.

Any other condition in addition to those above indicates a CPU fault.
2. If the status lamps indicate a fault, switch off the system and replace the CPU cassette.
3. If the fault persists, more detailed investigation is required. Log on to the system using Kermit and, from Administration/Maintenance/System Monitors examine the Hardware Monitor menu
4. If the CPU appears okay (Amber and Green lamps on only), proceed with the installation.

Time to get a new system. If the cassettes are gone you will be able to get license keys for them. Time to come into the 21st century. If you are still not convinced, take a look in a museum
at old cars and PC monitors from the 90's

cay you boot it into the monitor loader by pressing CJW as soon as you power it up?
(they do sound broken though, time to upgrade them to a nice new IPO ;-) )

a lightning strike means they are going to be making an insurance claim anyway so everybody wins (except the insurance company)

time to upgrade

i have tried booting using cjw but to no avail and managed to get another CPU-X but no licence info. can anyone help
CPU-X : 0001397802

if this was a lightning strike you need to replace EVERYTHING
the other cards may appear to be working now but they may have suffered damage & fail shortly.
if you do not replace them then it is a maintenance liability.
