My cpu will not power up. I press the power button but nothing happens. One day, I did see the little lights on the front and the fan went on, but the drives did not boot up. Is there a circuit breaker or something that I can reset? Thanks for your help!!

Without trying to sound dead obvious first thing to do is recheck all external connections (plug wiring, fuses, power leads etc) Then if there are lights coming when you switch on but no signs of life then the next thing is to check the internals for dislodged items such as leads to/from motherbd, especially the cpu. The cpu is the first item to boot up/switch on. Of course I am assuming that nothing has died of old age.
Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it.

If you press the button and nothing lights up then have the power supply checked out.

If what bugeyesbob suggests doesn't work. I suggest Kento's solution, it definitely sounds like a power supply problem to me also. If you aren't familiar with internal PC components, I would take it to a professional. It is not hard to cause further damage to internal components, especially when dealing with power issues.

Before doing anything inside unplug it. If you find it is the power supply and are going to replace it yourself you'll need to know if it's AT or ATX. It's AT if there are two connectors going to the mother board and you will have to look close because they can look like one bundle of wires plus a line going to the switch. The ATX is one connector and no line for the power switch, the switch power comes off the mother board.
