how can i get the current cpu load under linux?
The command "uptime" gives something for the past 1,5 and 15 minutes, but i'd need the *current* state.
Try using 'top'. Also, there are several graphical utilities for X that show charts and graphs of cpu usage, similar to the NT task manager. (I seam to remember one called 'asload', but there are many more. One even plots a strip chart) [sig][/sig]
