Hi All,

I run some very lengthy reports (Mostly queries) and long operations cycling through upwards of 1 million records. The Task Manager Cpu stat is sometimes pinned at 100%. At other times it stays in a range of 5%-20% or somewhere inbetween, even for the same task on different days.

Is there any way to gain control over how Cpu is divided? I may start a few things overnight and I do not care how it is divided. On occasion I need a report or process to run asap and I watch as it plods along at 1/2 or less of the cpu usage I have seen in the past.

Using Win XP Pro W/1gig RAM, Access 03 SP2

Thanks,

alr
