Just plugged in an AMD K6-2 500 mhz, replacing the 333.
Cannot figure out how to get system to run at 500.
Upgraded/flash BIOS via mfg (IBM Aptiva 2153-E2U)
Model was replaced prior to 500 mhz processors so I cannot locate a jumper setting.
Any help?

Motherboard = V70MA

thanks
John

According to the specs listed on the manufacturers site at
the system only supports 300Mhz CPU. If there are jumpers for multiplier and CPU Frequency or FSB the FSB should be set to 100 and the multiplier to 5. If there are no jumpers or BIOS settings available to set these values I would say you are out of luck. All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.
