I have searched the Sun Web site looking for specs on their various mid-range servers. The specs do not include the speed of the CPUs.

Can anyone out there tell me the speed of the CPUs on a sun Enterprise 3500, 4500, or 5500 and a Sun Fire 3800, 4800 or 6800?

thanks.

My Oldest x000 class sun has 167 Mhz, my Newest has 400 Mhz
by the x500 class I would be surprized if they are under 250 Mhz no matter how old, fastest is 464 Mhz.

All of those are UltraSparc II, the x800 all run 750 Mhz UltraSparc III The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

Well "jimbopalmer" already says all, just to add all possible speeds, and UltraSparcIII is now at 900 mhz.

E3500 = 167,250,336,400,464 (1 to 14) UltraSparcII
E4500 = 167,250,336,400,464 (1 to 14) UltraSparcII
E5500 = 167,250,336,400,464 (1 to 14) UltraSparcII

SunFire 3800 = 750,900 (2 to 8) UltraSparcIII
SunFire 4800 = 750,900 (2 to 12) UltraSparcIII
SunFire 6800 = 750,900 (2 to 24) UltraSparcIII

On SunFire futures are up to 1.5 GHZ with UltraSparcIII+

E3500 is 1 to 6 CPUs I think The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

Yes "Jimbopalmer" you are right E3500 is not a 1 to 14, is 1 to 8, I copy and paste from others and forget to change !
thanks !

Carlos Almeida.
