CPU capping

Hello all,

I have inherited a project at work which needs some TLC. A previous developer has some serious CPU hogging issues and so decided to impliment a cpu cap at 25%. This project then got passed around for a while before finally landing on my desk with a susposed fix for the original issue.
My problem is that I can't find a way to lift the CPU cap and find out...

Can anyone point me in the direction I may need to look at, IE known ways of doing a hard CPU cap with PlatformSDK\MFC etc..

First, propose an internal coding standard which basically says "More comment than code."

Second, in hopes that the previous developer did comment that line or section, do a search for things that might be in the comment, such as "cap," "limit," etc.
