I am new to the Mitel world, I have finished certification but we all know that is just a piece of paper for the introduction. I have no local support since I am the only tech at my company to go through this so far.

I am setting up a 3300 ICP MXe to use an Inter-tel Axxess as it's connection to the PSTN via a tie E1 PRI. The E1 is working and I can pass calls both directions. I am trying to change the CPN from being the 4 digit DN. Just the DN shows on caller ID for outbound calls. I have programmed the DID ranges for CPN substitution form. I still have no information in the CPN substitution form. If I try to add member I get a message that I need to add a group first. The message does not specify what kind of group. Mitel knowledge base has nothing on this. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

The group it is refering to is the group that you set up in the DID form.

If you are referring to the "DID ranges for CPN substitution form", I did setup one range in what is labeled "Index" position 1. I am assuming this information is supposed to show up in the bottom part of the "CPN Substitution Form". I am not completely sure I am even on the right path.

Thanks,
Jeff

In the DID Ranges for Substitution you define each of the substitutions that you want to have. Each of these ranges are assigned an index. (from 1 to 100)

In the CPN substitution form you add the indexes that you want to activate.

Enter an index number between 1 and 100. Index numbers refer to substitutions programmed in the DID Ranges for CPN Substitution form. If a DID number sent over this link matches the DID range programmed for this index number, then the system makes the substitution.

Sorry for the delay, I do not get much time to work on this. I have entered substitutions in the DID Ranges form. The CPN subtitution form is still completely blank. If I try to add a member in the DID Ranges section I get the error that I need to add a group. No index numbers are listed in this area. The top half of the form is also empty. Is there another Form I need to go to for all of this to work?
