I am a IT Tech that recently had my supervisor leave without notice and he was the phone "guy" and wouldnt show anyone anything about it....now it is in My lap so any help would be Greatly appreaciated!!!!!!
I am using a fairly old Avaya Merlin system with winspm 5.0
Any info on user friendly documentation would be great also.

1.How can i get a list of all used and available ext.

2.I have a user whos phone was working and now when he tries to dial outside line he gets the tone waves ( still works for inside lines)

If you have WinSPM - you can run a "print all" report - which includes detailed information on how every extention in the system is setup. To run the report - connect with WinSPM, choose "Standard SPM" mode, press system program, start/exit, more, print - and then choose "print all" - give the file a name and click OK. You can then compare the "problem" extention's programming - with those that work fine - to identify any programming issue. It sounds like the extention in question is outward restricted from making calls.

Depending on which Legend or Magix you have, in WinSPM try the "Station Responding Test" found in the Quick Access section. It will tell you which MLX or TDL phones are actually connected, and those ports that don't respond are probably available for use.
