Cpanel Database Backup

I have a backup of a mysql database that i made using cpanel, then i changed hosts and now im using ensim. How can i restor this backup now?

Aren't cpanel backups in tar.gz format ?

I have a .sql.gz file but i can also unzip that and get juast a .sql file.
