is there a way of blocking incoming callers from reaching an extension depending on the time of the day. The application is for a school that uses a MICS 5.0 and a Call pilot 150 rls 2.0 with unlimited seats. The CP150 is used for autoattendant and the school does not want a caller to be able to interrupt a classroom with incoming calls during the normal school hours. Before 8 am and after 3 pm, the calls can be routed to the rooms but not between those times. All the classrooms have T7208 phones.
I cant find anything in the manuals for this and am not familiar with any norstar features for this. Have seen this in other VM's by other manufacturers though.

how about a call center on a time of day controler with aa being used during your predefined times ..need keycodes for basic call center...or did you get it with the cp 150 already????-+

It sounds like the new version of CP may have what you are looking for (if I am reading this post correctly)

Speaking of which...
NLT555- do you have CP V3 yet? If not, any idea when you will?

why not use Do No Disturb or Ftr 984 (forward to vmail)?

oh jeez- Jsaad is so right. I was thinking way to complex.
Just have them press feature-85

Thanks for making me feel really stupid!! ha ha. The DND is probably the best way to do it so that the teachers can turn it off during their pass-periods when they do not have students. This way they also have a more flexible call blocking schedule.

I guess I would also give the admin staff override ability so they can make internal calls to the classroom without going to Voicemail. Does the MICS have a DND for outside calls only so that internal calls can be received?

It does not differentiate between outside and inside calls, but you can give the admin staff the ability to override DND via the priority call feature.
