Just setting up a CP150 (3.1 software) on a MICS 7.1. The MICS is using 4 digit extension numbers to match with the DID numbers and save confusion with the users. It was my intention to have the mail boxes also match.

Under configuration/switch properties on the CP it is showing the VM dn as 6705 but digits per extension: 3.

I am unable to create mail boxes because CP will only accept 3 digits and it says there must be a valid extension number!

Any ideas on how to change the CP to accept 4 digits?

I hate to answer my own question but I think I've found the answer. A re-initialize will likely fix this as it was originally done with 3 digits in the MICS.

That is right. If it was already installed on a 3 digit dial plan then you need to reinstall the voicemail
