Hey All,
Just took over a customer w/CICS 6.0 fully blown 8X24
They have CP100 w/20 mail 20 unified.
I was hired to add a couple of sets on the system and found that only one VM port was punched down to the system on DN 236 port 116. I explained to the customer he was only working off of two channels.
My question is, I would like to terminate a second rj11 to port B of CP100, but port 117/237 is the ATA port.
I was then thinking to reterminate port A of CP100 onto port 118/dn 238 and port b onto port 119/239.
Here's the question: Right now the CP100 was installed on DN 236, will it recognize the change if I change the port number to 118 and 119 and reboot? My guess would be no..Or should I disable (XFTEST) all the F98 codes and then reboot? Will I lose keycodes (as the customer doesn't have them) Will I need to redo the whole VM?

Me and my big mouth.....
Thanks for reading the long winded question..its late..

You can reterminate A,B of the CP reboot the CP and change all ext's CFNA and CFB to the new dn, XFTEST only applies to the feature codes.
Or you can just terminate the B port on a dn and reboot, although proper protocal would be to keep them in order.

Hmm..
I think I found the problem...
I tried using port 118 for Port b of CP100(no physical connection) reserved for IRAD...
Damn...
I could have saved myself a trip...
Oh well..I usually learn the hard way....
Regards all...
