What do you mean by Network? what is it they need to do?

But again what is it they need to do?
To add a CP to a Network you ask the IT for an IP address and change the CP to that Address.
The Network itself is not a MAC, it is wires jacks and switches.

That is all done using an internet browser so I dont see why not.

What you can't do is unified messaging. There is no app for the MAC.
