cp file via NFS stalls after 1 gb

Hello

I have the following problem:

on an aix server i have an nfsmount to a linux server.
When i copy a 2gb file from the nfs mount to a local filesystem the first 1 GB goes with a transfer rate of 40-50MB/s. After 1 GB the transfer rate is 4-6 MB/s.
Btw: the 2 servers are connected through 1000mbps adapters with an utp crosscable .

Any ideas how to solve this transfer rate problem?

Have you changed the fsize limits for the user to exceed 1GB? If not, maybe that's a problem (the default is 1GB)?

Use ulimit to see the current setting:
