will the Desktop Messaging on the CP150 work with Blackberry's

Get the IT guy involved.

We've had to assign a local account, then have their staff forward mail to the blackberry. It was expensive (server sw upgrades), and messy. Last I heard, though, they did get it to work.

I still don't understand why people insist on getting emails on their cell, and moreso when we're talking about a voice message that's been converted to an email. Why not just use message notification?

You just need to convert the message form a VBK format to a WAV format I believe.

I've had success with the latest version of Desktop Messaging (5.0) for the Meridian CallPilot working on a CallPilot 150. This version will automatically convert the VBK to WAV. Then you can use an Outlook rule to forward the message to the users BlackBerry.

how would the desktop msg.of the meridian CPilot work with the CP150

RikRodgers I think the reason is that it would be easier and quicker to play an email on your cell phone from your email rather than having to dial into your system then accessing you extension number going through your voicemail to get to your message.

Right now we are at the step where we can setup a rule that will forward the message to the cell phone but it will comes as a VBK file which can't be played. If there was a way auto convert the VBK to a WAV then you can hear the message on your cell phone simply by clicking on your email.

Any ideas on how to do that auto convert?

what version of BCM? When you forward the message it converts to wave, at least this hold true on 3.7 and up. I think the key is to forward not just copy msg.

Its not a BCM its a Norstar with a CP150. You can still manually forward a msg from your inbox to the cell phone but we are looking for the ability to have it automatically forward for when you are out of the office. We can setup a rule to do it but it still cames as a VBK file not a WAV file.

Will the BCM send the msg. as a wave file. if so we will sugest to upgrade the system.
