CP 100 and general mbox

I am trying to access the general mailbox from my phone. But all the instructions that were given to me is to use the Feat 981 code which takes me into my personal box.
How do I retrieve the messages in the general mbox?

you must hit * then the mbox # (10,100,1000,etc) and then the password. You must also have auto login disabled.

on a 7316, 7310 and 7324 you can press "other" to change screen from the pswd prompt to a log prompt. Then follow Namly555 instructions
