My customer has a Prologix G3 V8 with a 302C1 Attendant console and would like to have the operator position ring at the office manager's phone (6408D) after the receptionist leaves at 3:00pm until 5:30pm when the office closes. The operator places the switch into night mode when she leaves at 3:00pm. The after hours calls are directed to an AA.

The only way I can think to do it is to change the night service destination from the ATTD to a VDN or time-of-day coverage path so calls direct differently during those hours.

That seems like an awful lot of work and was wondering if anyone knew a simpler way.

I think you're on the right track. First add a VDN with TOD and test if it's doing what you want it to.
Then change the nightservice to this VDN and you're done.
