Hello all,

I come from the good old Audix days and wondering if there is any option in MM like the covering extension option in Audix.

I am after a way to have the personal greeting say "or if you wish to be transferred to an operator, please press 0 now.", but have not been able to find anything like it.

This is not an automated attendant, just an option on every personal mailbox.

Regards...

Modular Messaging has what is called the Backup Operator Mailbox. This is on the subscriber form. If someone enters a 0 while listening to the message, this is the number that they will be transfered to. There are a few things to keep in mind, though. There is a checkbox in the Voice Mail System Configuration for "Transfer to invalid mailbox number". We have that set to no. By doing so, the number that we place in the Backup Operator Mailbox field has to be an actual mailbox number. Because not all numbers that we transfer to actually had mailboxes associated with them, we had to add a bunch of bogus mailbox numbers.

There is also the Personal Operator schedule, something that I'm not very familiar with, but might also help to get you what you are looking for.
