Magix system, PRI, DIDs, 4412 sets.
A call comes in by DID to ext 118, which has coverage at 110.
118 wants to have a button that will send calls directly to voicemail at night, the DND just keeps her phone from ringing, the call goes to Voicemail after it rings at 110.
Coverage off keeps the call from going to voicemail.
Any think I can try?

Yea, Tommy, .
I called a hot line and the only thing they came up with was bridged appr.
but there are 4 people that want this so it would take up to many buttons
maybe I can sell them a ip-office

make a primary coverage button on 110 instead and put it on delayed ring you just have to set the group cover rings for 118 high enough that 110 will still ring and not just alert with a blip that there was a call going to voicemail.

It is my understanding that all of the Primary and Secondary coverage paths must be exhausted before the Group Coverage (voice mail) will kick in.

So if 118 is in DND, 110 will still ring on the Primary Coverage button, even if it is on delayed ring, until the group coverage rings setting is reached, then it will go to voice mail.

TTT seems you are right again, jsut looked through the manual of the Magix R3 and even though it is not worded as nicely as you did it comes down to the same result.
Sorry tipandring70

Hey Joe, that was one of the "gotchas" when I first started learning Legends, and I still don't understand why they made it work that way!

tipandring70 - if this is just ONE set of extensioins, 118 and 110, try setting the call forward delay for 118 to 3 rings, and forwarding 118 to 110. The calls will still ring 118 for 3 rings, then go to 110 on its own SA buttons, then cover to 118's voice mail. Turn the forward OFF and DND ON, when you want it to go immediatly to VM.

If you need more than ONE extension to cover 118, this won't work.

I started learning Legends (besides programming buttons on phones or adding a line to a pool or on a phone basic stuff like that) two years ago when I started doing remote support for our customers and programming them. That was all existing customers not from scratch (except when my predecessor forgot to do a backup and not enabled automatic backup yes he did do that) so I am still a rookie because the Legend and Magix family is working great and has no real problems once installed unlike some other systems on the market these days :) I still hope when a call centre customer wants new stuff that I can cheat and just look at the rest of the programming and remake it with new groups and setups and then make it work that way.
My alternative is always after the manual looking at Tek-Tips for an answer in old threads.

That is why I call the Legend "the illogical Legend"! I could put together a list of gotchas like that...

....JIM....

if you do then let me know I will have that right beside my IP Office manual :)
