coverage path stops working when coverage point has call forwarding on 2

We're running System = G3SIV8 Software Version= 63v8i.02.0.034.5

I set up extension xxxx with a coverage path 1, number of rings: 2
coverage path 1 has point1: yyyy (extension) & point2: voicemail.

This works fine as long as the user at yyyy does not call forward to another extension. When the user at extension yyyy turns on call forwarding at extension yyyy, the coverage path for xxxx skips point1 and goes directly to voicemail. Beside not allowing the user at yyyy to call forward is there another solution which allows xxxx to go to yyyy and then voicemail even if yyyy call forwards to another extension?

I would look on the system features coverage page and play with Coverage after forwarding setting.
The doc's say
Coverage After Forwarding
This field governs whether an unanswered forwarded call is provided coverage treatment.
Valid entries Usage
y Coverage treatment is provided to unanswered forwarded calls.
n No coverage treatment is provided to unanswered forwarded
calls. The call remains at the forwarded-to destination.

Instead of using coverage, maybe the "hunt-to" feature would work? I couldn't find anywhere in the documentation that said if the phone would still ring if the station was call forwarded, so I guess u would have to test it.
The hunt-to feature is on the station form.
"Hunt-to Station=Enter the extension the system should hunt to for this phone when the phone is busy. This field allows you to create a station hunting chain (by assigning a
hunt-to station to a series of phones)".
